University of London requires little introduction as a seat of higher learning, tradition and academic excellence. It consists of a federation of 18 Colleges together with a range of central academic activities. All colleges award University of London degrees collectively ensuring the standards of the University's degrees. The external system was established in 1858 to make University of London degrees accessible to students who could not, for some reason, go to the University to study in the conventional way. Currently the external system is operating in about 150 countries around the world. It is for this external system that DCLE provides tuition support
